HOW TO LEVEL UP YOUR WALKS ⬇
Did you know that walking might be the simplest (and most underrated) secret weapon for your health goals? Yep, just plain old walking!
Here's why: studies show that aiming for around 8,000 steps a day can do wonders—not just for weight loss, but also for:
Better sleep 🌙
Reduced stress levels 🙌
Lowered inflammation 🔥
Balanced hormones—especially important if you're navigating menopause! 🌸
But let's get real: most of us are glued to our chairs or desks, barely getting 5,000 steps daily! Ready to level-up your steps this spring and summer? Here's how to make it even more effective: a weighted vest. But don't just buy any vest. Choosing the wrong one can actually cause pain or injury (not what we're after!).
Here's how to find your perfect weighted vest:
How To Chose a Weighted Vest:
Step 1: PICK THE RIGHT WEIGHT
You've probably heard you should start with 10% of your body weight. I respectfully disagree! If I’d done that, I'd have ordered a 13-pound vest right off the bat. Nope.
Instead:
Most women can comfortably start with around an 8-pound vest, even with a weaker core.
Start small—wear it 15 minutes daily, gradually increasing over a few months. Then, when it feels easy, go heavier.
Step 2: FIND YOUR FIT
Bulky adjustable vests can be awkward. My personal favorite is a slim, pre-weighted vest—mine's a comfy 10-pounder (I'm 5'5", medium build). Trust me, comfort matters! Read reviews before you buy.
And a friendly tip: If you outgrow your vest, consider passing it along or donating it to someone who could benefit. (Win-win!)

This is the exact vest I ordered - I'm 5'5 - medium build. If you're a bit more broad-shouldered, larger chest, and want a roomier fit, try this one.
